Large Korean numbers often group by ten thousand, 만 (man). 15,000 won is 만 오천 원 (man ocheon won). Instead of mastering every number immediately, look at the display and confirm:

만 오천 원 맞아요?

Man ocheon won majayo?

Is 15,000 won correct?

Refund and tax policies vary. Ask staff and check the current official requirements rather than relying on an old phrasebook.
