16장. WAL과 Checkpoint

WAL은 data page보다 먼저 durability 기록을 남긴다. checkpoint, background writer, fsync, synchronous_commit의 tradeoff를 이해한다. 성능을 위해 durability를 끄기 전 손실 범위를 승인받는다.

WAL volume은 update pattern, full-page write, index 수, checkpoint와 연결된다. disk full runbook을 둔다.
