35장. Capacity·성능 예산

행 평균 500B, secondary index 3개 합계 420B, 월 3천만 건, 13개월 보존, 35% 여유를 가정한다. data+index에 redo/binlog, tmp, undo, backup, replica, restore workspace를 별도 예산한다. 가정은 information_schema.tables, sys.schema_table_statistics, 일별 성장률로 보정한다.

memory는 buffer pool만이 아니라 connection당 buffer, Performance Schema, adaptive hash, OS page cache, sidecar를 합친다. max_connections 전체가 최대 sort/join buffer를 동시에 쓰는 worst case를 피한다. incident·admin 여유를 남긴다.

failover RTO에는 election뿐 아니라 buffer pool warmup과 application retry storm이 든다. cold replica에서 핵심 query p95가 언제 정상화되는지 game day에서 측정한다.
