health, prometheus처럼 필요한 endpoint만 노출하고 management port·network policy·인증을 조합한다. /env, /configprops, heap dump는 민감 값과 메모리 데이터를 노출할 수 있어 일반 인터넷에 두지 않는다. health detail도 anonymous에게 dependency 이름과 오류를 과도하게 공개하지 않는다.

liveness는 process가 회복 불가능한지, readiness는 새 traffic을 받을 수 있는지 말한다. 짧은 DB 지연을 liveness failure로 만들면 restart storm이 생긴다. 반면 migration 미적용이나 필수 configuration 누락은 readiness 전에 startup을 실패시킨다. probe timeout·failureThreshold·initial delay를 실제 startup과 GC pause로 측정한다.

custom metric은 handoff_open_total, high_risk_unacknowledged_age, outbox_oldest_seconds처럼 업무 위험을 나타낸다. user id나 handoff id를 label로 넣어 cardinality를 폭발시키지 않는다. deployment id와 commit은 공통 resource attribute로 연결한다.
