13. When you do not understand

Conversation repair is a core skill, not failure.

Jal mot deureosseoyo.

I didn’t hear well.

다시 말씀해 주세요.

Dasi malsseumhae juseyo.

Please say it again.

천천히 말씀해 주세요. — Please speak slowly.

적어 주세요. (Jeogeo juseyo.) — Please write it down.

사진으로 보여 주세요. (Sajin-euro boyeo juseyo.) — Please show me in a picture.

제가 이해한 게 맞아요? (Jega ihaehan ge majayo?) — Did I understand correctly?

Then repeat the key fact: 내일 오전 열 시, 여기 맞아요? — Tomorrow at 10 a.m., here, correct? Numbers, dates, stations, allergens, and money deserve confirmation.

Translation apps help, but type short literal sentences. Review names and numbers before showing the screen. Do not paste passport details, card numbers, medical records, or confidential messages into an unfamiliar service.
