20장. Slow Query

실제 parameter와 skew, estimated/actual cardinality, rows examined/returned, buffer, sort spill, loops를 본다. EXPLAIN ANALYZE는 실제 실행하므로 write query와 대형 production query에 주의한다.

index 전후 read latency뿐 아니라 write, WAL/redo, disk, cache, replication lag를 측정한다. timeout을 늘리는 것은 원인 수정이 아니다. plan 회귀를 representative fixture로 자동 검사한다.
